Hello I am a beginner and I am learning a foreign language because my husband speaks this language and I would like our daughter to speak it as well, she is expected in august of this year. I am looking to speak our language fluently with the ability to pronunciate to teach our daughter correctly. Quality of a professor would be strict, but patient, consist ant, and resourceful.

I am a complete beginner. I would like to learn conversationa l swahili, as well as the basics of reading and writing it. I would like to have either a private lesson once a week for an hour, or else a class setting three times a week for however long classes run (i'm assuming around an hour). I would like a teacher who is very familiar with swahili, and that is patient and good at teaching. I would like to go to Africa in the future, and I feel a working knowledge of swahili would be beneficial.

I do not currently speak Swahili but have spent significant time in East Africa. I would like to learn Swahili so that I can use it as the basis for learning other Bantu languages in East and Southern Africa.
I work until 6pm Monday-Friday , so I would like either evening or weekend classes. I would prefer live classes, with internet/phon e support with a native speaker.

As for my interest in learning Swahili language, I would need at least two months. And for sure I am a beginner level students, I wanted to learn it because I am planning to go to East Africa, the area that I only needed is the area of conversation only. My teachers qualities should be the one that likes talking a lot and dedicate to make me achieves my goals.

I'm a swahili beginner, I've lived in Kenya most my life but never used swahili extensively in conversation. I plan on spending a lot of my life in East Africa and so I consider learning swahili a must. I've heard a lot of the words but I don't feel comfortable in conversation and have very little knowledge of the grammar ect. I would hope to dedicate at least 5 hrs a week to swahili, depending on what I can afford at the time.
