Due to my previous partner I have started learning Portuguese. As I have not had much practise so far - apart from on holidays in Portugal - I would like to improve my skills and get to a point where I can have a proper conversation in Portuguese. I understand a lot more than I can speak. I tought most of it to myself by listening, reading books, listening to Portguese music and learning tapes, watching TV and using a PC language course CD-Rom. I want to start from the beginning, the grammar etc. to be able to form sentences the correct way. I am looking ideally for a teacher that speak German or English to better explain everything to me. As I am travelling a lot with work, weekends and evenings would be best to arrange training - either in person in London or over the internet.

Hi,
I come from a punjabi background and it was my first language however living in a western society and going to an english school, coupled with the fact that I have hardly anybody to speak the language with, I have totally lost my confidence and struggle to have basic conversation.
Looking to spend one or two evenings a week, depending on the cost to get to a position where I can communicate relatively well.
Am extremely enthusiatic however am really lacking confidence and vital knowledge and understanding of the language!
