I am both Australian and Taiwanese. I was born and lived in Taiwan for 13 years, Australia for 12 years and Japan for the past 10 years. This year due to work I am based in Taiwan. Two years ago I went to Italy for 2 weeks and thought that I would like to be able to speak to the locals in the country side, renting a car on my next visit. I think it is easiest for me to remember a foreign language at this age, through topics that interest me, instead of just following a text book or strict grammar memorizations . I would like to learn in Italian through its music (I love opera), food (cooking, recipes, ingredients), and how people converse with each other and express their emotions.
Due to my irregular work hours and often sudden business trips, I can probably devote to approx 3 to 4 (1 hr) classes in a month.
I am looking for a teacher who enjoys broadening life through teaching and contact with his or her students, as well as have a good knowledge or passion for the topics above. This will be my first time learning Italian.
