I am a beginner and wanting to learn for career purposes and to help make travel easier. I have just under twelve months of study left in my visual arts degree and am eager to learn french and german as I plan to travel when my university studies are finished. I would need an hour or so a fortnight spent in lessons and then the rest doing personal study. I would like to be able to understand other people speaking to me and be able to converse proficiently enough to be understandabl e. Due to my musical studies I have some understanding of pronunciation in both languages though it is still limited. I am also willing to join in classes with others on a fortnightly or monthly basis.
