I am a beginner (one term at Alliance Francais St.Kilda)
I am learning French to be able to communicate with friends who are French and also I hope to visit France within the next couple of years
I would really like to be able to understand and speak French and join in a conversation. Also learn the grammer, but my main aim is to understand and speak it.
I am prepared to spend a lot of time learning it as I am not employed at the moment.
I would like the teacher to be able to explain things in English. To speak sentences and make me write them, and repeat them in French.

A couple would like a tutor to give them French language (and preferably cultural, historical facts). We both work long hours, so an hour a week, or every other week on a Saturday morning in our home would be preferable but we are happy to discuss this.
We love France and holiday there as much as possible. Consequently, we feel it is time for us to be able to converse a little less inadquately in the native language! We are also planning to purchase a property to enable us to spend even more time over there.
We are looking for someone who is patient, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and prepared to go back to basics for us!
