I studied French for 5 years in junior and high schools. I am 24 now, and desire to place out of the beginning levels of French at the University of Houston. I would need to work on grammar, vocabulary, translation, and writing. I have begun working on my own in workbooks, but would like to have a bit of guidance and monitoring of my progress and additional practice/exer cises.
I am thinking perhaps I would check in with a teacher once a week and go over work and maybe discuss a new lesson or problem areas. Perhaps even receive assignments or vocabulary work for the next week. I am also open to suggestions the tutor might have about best approaching self-study.
