I have recently purchased a home in Kalkan, Turkey and would like to learn the language to enable me to communicate with the locals, read the local newspapers and generally enjoy the country.

I am looking to learn vietnamese, mainly because i have a great interest in the country, stemming from becoming interested in the vietnam war. Fromt this i started to look at the lesson researched areas, the south vietnamese military and the civilians at the time. I then started to become interested in the country itself, at some point in the future i intend to go to vietnam and would also like to have a least a basic undestanding of the language.
I would like to spend one - two hours a week learning, I would also love to have a teacher who is vietnamese because it would be very nice to speak with somebody who has lived there and knows the country and people well.
