I am relocating to Italy in a few months to reunite with my husband. I picked up Italian by listening. Thus, my listening is by far the best among speaking, and, moreover, writing.

I am interested in learning foreign languages for travel and also just as a personal interest. I took 4 years of French in high school, but did not retain much of it. I am a beginner. I would like to devote 2 hours or so per week for class. I would like a teacher who is flexible, and fun.

I did a one month Italian course in Genoa last summer. It was quite intensive. I am looking to build upon what I learnt but have not found any courses in the local area that go beyond Beginners.
if I cannot find a progressive course I would like a weekly grind from an Italian teacher. I hope to return to Italy again next summer to improve.

My aspiration is to become an interpreter and translator. I find that language is a very important tool in order to communicate better and to get one's message across effectively. Sometimes a situation is worsen because people misinterpret one another. That is why I would like to extend my knowlegde in several languages. Currently I'm fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. I've also taken up Japanese Language until intermediete level. I'm planning to study some european languages such as Italian and French. I have no basic in these two languages and are very keen to learn something new. I'm looking for a private tutor in said languages with a reasonable rate. Also a tutor who could bring out the most out of her student. As I am a muslim woman, I would prefer a female tutor to work best with me.

I am interested in learning to converse, read & write Italian after a visit to that country.I am really a beginner although I have done a basic 8 week course in Italian earlier this year. (group)I would prefer private lessons, about an hour a week, but this may need to be flexible, rather than the same time and day each week.I have transport, but would prefer not to have to travel long distances for the lessons.I am prepared to study and do exercises in my spare time, so that the lessons will not be repetitious and that rapid progress can be made.I would like the full attention of my teacher for the hour that I am being taught,so he/she shouldnt be doing another job at the same time.I am a retired professional, and am fluent in 3 other languages.Thi s venture is entirely voluntary and needs to be enjoyable and relaxing for both student and teacher.Prefe rably, I do not want a fixed contract, and as long as I feel Im making good progress and enjoying the lessons(gramm ar, conversation, listening to and discussing Italian dialogue and music)there need not be a time limit.
