I am a beginner in the Italian language. I am Italian and I want to learn my heritage's language and I would like to prepare myself for the possibility of studying abroad. We are a professional English married couple who are intending to live most of the year in Italy.
We speak some French but no Italian - so we're beginners!
W e are looking for 1-2 hours each week teaching in Italian so that we can 'get around' when we go to live in Italy. Obviously conversation is the most important to us.
We would like the teacher to be kind and understanding . If possible we would like the teacher to come to us (we live in Clyst St Mary, Nr Exeter) but if this is not possible then we'll meet the teacher wherever is convenient to him/her.

I would be starting as a beginner learning Italian. I would like to learn to speak the language so I can attend a culinary scholl in Italy. I am currently a culinary student at The Pacific Institute of the Culinary arts in Grandville Island. I would like to dedicate about 4 hours per week to my lessons. I would like to relearn because it's something I have wanted to do for many years. I spoke Italian from birth to about age 11 then only occasionally after that. My proficiency level is currently a beginner. I would like to work on conversation and grammar. When I learn a new language or practice a language that I know, immersion works best for me.
