I presently speak broken Italian. All of my relatives live in Italy. My parents, who immigrated from Italy, speak Italian to me and I have studied on my own using books and audio guides. I can read and write Italian at a beginner's level. I would like to improve my writing and pronunciation so that I can communicate better with my relatives. I travel to Europe every 2-3 years. I would like to learn from an instructor as textbook studying is limiting. I would like to work with an instructor on a weekly basis, preferably someone who lives near Edmonton (Athabasca is 2 hours North) for live, in person communication . I would prefer an instructor whose native language is italian. My goal is to be able to speak fluently in Italian as if it was my native language.

I know nothing about Italian. I don't know if I am counted as a beginner. I really want to learn Italian, because I need it for my future career. Eventhough I am 14, I think I should start learning this language. I really have nothing that I need the improve on, because I know nothing about this language. But i do know that this language is really simular to French; which I am learning at school. I am willing to spend 2hours on this language. I looking for the vocabularies having to do with fashion designing, or general, basic grammar/conve rsations.

I am wanting to learn Italian because I love the look, feel and sound of the language. I have no before training in Italian, but know a couple words and how to count to four.
