I would like to continue learning Kiswahili to help me further my career as a Foreign Area Officer and to just become more proficient in a language I truly enjoy. I believe I am ready for intermediate level learning--ide ally I'd like to become better at daily conversation in addition to reading/discu ssing newspaper articles. I would like to study for 2 weeks in Tanzania this summer (4-20 Jun), and it is possible I will return in the summer of 2006 for 1-2 months of additional training.

I am a beginner, with no prior experience. I would like to learn swahili because I'm going abroad in the fall to Tanzania and would like to get a head start. My freind and I would like to learn Swahili. Although I lived in Kenya for a while, my Swahili is terrible and his is non-existent.
I want to learn both grammar and conversation. I like one or two days a week.
I'd like someone nice who speaks the language fluently, they don't have to be a qualified teacher.
I'd also like it to be a class if possible. If there is a teacher but no class, I could post a listing on Craigslist for others who would like to do this too.
