I am interested in learning italian because i think it's a beautiful language. I am starting to travel there with my husband and would love to know what is being said. I am a beginner, I know nothing. I am looking for someone who can help me learn the language as well as a little about the culture. I am learning Italian for pleasure, because I love the language. At the moment, I am at either a high intermediate or low advanced level depending on which test and standard one uses. I do have a teacher here in Austin but I will be traveling to Rome in late April for a week and would like to explore the possibility of having a private lesson daily while I'm there. My current thinking is an hour or two a day in private study but I'm open to suggestion. In a language teacher, I think the most important quality, given proficiency in teaching, is patience.
