My name is Celeste S. I want to learn Japanese. It has always been a favorite culture of mine. When I do get out of school and get a good job, I would love to go to Japan. I am currently at a begginer level. I have many books so that I could teach myself, but I found out that that is very hard. I need help in just about everything. Reading, writing, grammar, just remembering, etc. I would dedicate as much time as I could in the lessons as long as it doesn't interfere with school or family. Qualities I'm looking for in a teacher would be just for the teacher to be nice and would love to help me learn as much as I possibly can.

I just returned from one month trip to China investigating a business venture in Shanghai. I hope to start up the business in the next 6 months and want to become more fluent in Mandarin now. I have tried to learn Mandarin on at least three occaions but perhaps its because I was lazy or lacked motivation to learn that I dropped the classes.
I have been listening to various Mandarin tapes and used both Berlitz and Barron's phrase books on my China trip. My feeling is that I am not learning good phrasing or pronunciation on my own and want a teacher.
I live south of the Atlanta airport.

I am a native english speaker that is trying to learn the serbo-croatia n language. I have been self-studying for about 2 weeks and have a grasp on many vocabulary words. However, conjugating verbs is giving me trouble.
I am learning the language because it is something that interests me. Many of my friends are Serbian so being able to communicate with them in another language would be beneficial.
I can dedicate up to 30 hours a week to studying. I would like to become proficient in as little time as possible.
I am looking for an instructor that has the patience to break the language down in terms that I can understand, that has the ability to spot where I need to pay special attention and a full understanding of the target language.
