I am looking for someone to give my girlfriend 8-16 hours worth of Italian lessons as a Christmas present.
W e will be travelling to Italy for our Honeymoon and she wants to have some working knowledge of the language. Plus, she loves the way the language sounds.
I was thinking that 8 lessons of 1-2 hours or maybe 12 lessons of one hour and a half would be ideal. She doesn't want to read Dante or anything, but to have the ability to communicate.

My name is Dusti and I am currently studying Italian. I lived in Sicily, Italy for three years and fell in love with the country. My goal is move back to live and work in Italy. I have not had any formal training, but that hasn't stopped me from learning. I have grammar books, audio cd's, DVD's, fashion magazines, etc., to help me study the language. I am a beginner or slightly better speaker. I have been listning to CDs and POD casts to help me start. After a year and a half I would like to take some classes where I can ask question and get some feedback on what I am doing correctly and incorrectly. My family orriginated in Napels and I was hoping to go there within the next couple of years. I also have 2 children that I am teachin Italian as well. I would start and my wife might be intrested in joining as well.
