Dear Sir/Madam:
I am a beginner and wish to learn Italian with a tutor. I recently traveled to Italy and have friends in Tremonti. They speak English (not very well) but I want to meet them half way in our communication . I intend to travel there again next summer and suspect I will meet their family members. The amount of time that I would dedicate to the lesson depends on pricing.
T he qualities I look for in a teacher include studying with someone who is able to impart their knowledge in a skillful way that will contribute to greater comprehension on my part.

I have just started Italian lessons in Italy because I will be living here until December. I am not sure what my level will be by the time I come back to Canada, but I would like to continue with the lessons. Right now I am a beginner and I am attending class 8 hours a week. We're looking for a tutor to help our daughter with her AS level Italian. She achieved A* at GCSE in 2005, stayed with an Italian family in Italy for 3 weeks following this, and has been to conversationa l Italian classes over the last year, as the AS level was not offered at her school. The school are now doing AS Italian, but are spreading it over 2 years (ie exams in 2009), whereas our daughter needs to sit the AS in June 2008, for university entrance in Sept 2008, we hope. The school have squeezed a bit of extra teaching in for her but she has been recommended to find extra 1:1 private tuition to help her meet the deadlines. Oral exam will be in Jan 2008.
Home tuition would be ideal, but we are willing to travel in Rhondda Cynon Taff/Caerphil ly/Cardiff area if necessary

I am part of a group of 3-5 people who have been studying Italian over a period of years. We are at an intermediate level. We have a genuine love of Italy and enjoy learning the language and are all adults. Some of us would love to work in Italy others just learn Italian for pleasure. Lawrenceville is about 30 minutes from Philadlphia and 15 from Princeton NJ.
