I am going to be working in New Delhi for two or three years from January 2013. I have no previous experience in Hindi and therefore I will be a complete beginner. I will be learning with my partner who will accompany me to New Delhi.

My name is Steve and I wish to learn Greek; I have lived on Crete for three years although I am now back in the UK. One day I will return to live in Greece and would like to be more proficient and confident.
I did have lessons for a few months but I am only really at phrasebook level.
As with most people learning languages it's the problems understanding Greek spoken to me that I have problems with. I may actually know the words they are saying to me but can't quite pick them out!
I would like one hour a week, on a Monday, and also some homework given too and recommendatio ns of text books that we could perhaps work with together.
I would prefer my teacher to actually be Greek and either male or a mature male or female.

My motivation for learning is that my parents and my extended family are fluent in Urdu, and regrettably it wasn't a language that I picked up when I was young.
I understand it reasonably well but do not have the experience to actually speak the language.
All areas for improvement. I can read arabic and basic urdu phrases, but I would like to build on this. I am not too fussed about writing.
I 'd like to spend upto one hour a week.
Oppo rtunity to follow a structured programme where there is immediate progression in the coming three months.
