I am putting out a request for my 12 year old daughter. She has voiced several times wanting to learn sign language and I would like her to have the oportunity to do so as I feel it could lead her to some interesting job possibilities as an adult. I would like to see her have the opportunity to try to learn this language.

I am a beginner. I want to be able to volunteer/int erpret for almost anyone. If possible, I'd like to do volunteer hours for payment of course. I know there was a place in Calgary that used to do that and I was hoping there was a place in Edmonton.
I am very anxious to get started as I work from September til April 30th. I would like to be able to fit my schedules together and begin the language course before then.

Hello,
My daughter (12 years of age) and I are interested in learning ASL through either small group work or with just us. We know the alphabet, some simple phrases, etc.
Kedra (my daughter) is constantly signing me, and we wish to learn more in order to fulfill her interests and to keep my brain from atrophying :). I took a beginner's ASL course about 20 years ago and have taught my daughter what little I remember.
My daughter is gifted and will be very keen to do her best.
Sinc e I have a neurological disability, I would prefer individual lessons be in my house, but my husband would be willing to drive us if that is not convenient or if a small class is available.
