Hello! I'm looking for an online teacher to brush up my English skills, especially speaking fluency. I suppose I'm more or less at intermediate/ higher-interme diate level and use English occasionally either on business and in my private life. What I'd like to try with my possible teacher is to have a free conversation and/or a discussion based on some article during which he or she would correct me whenever detecting problems with my pronunciation , grammer and vocabulary usage. Actually I'm planning to take lessons on a weekly basis. For the payment of lesson fees, PayPal would be the most preferable way for me. I studied abroad in Brazil for six months in 2006, and now, four years later, have forgotten how to speak proper Portuguese. I recently made a few Brazilian friends and could barely communicate!
I would like to regain my previous level of Portuguese, which was high-intermed iate/advanced. My grammar is generally OK, and I can read a novel just fine, but my conversation and pronounciatio n are pretty weak and I need to be reminded of vocabulary about 25% of the time.
I hope to take a 1.5 hour lesson per week at a coffee shop or cafe, preferably in the evening (M-Sat) or on Sunday afternoon. I'm willing to pay about 3,500 yen per lesson and negotiate transportatio n.
As far as a teacher goes, I am quite flexible. I just need a good blend of focused practice and free conversation to get back to where I was.
