Lived in Italy for several months 5 years ago and had basic conversationa l Italian at that time (office language was English). Have not used language for about 5 years but have recently completed Rosetta stone intermediate computer based lessons so have regained some comprehension . Principal initial aim is to get to a point where I can understand films in Italian so that I can rebuild my vocabulary and understanding by watching Dvd's (without the English subtitles) - something that is beyond my capability at the moment i.e to bridge between the Rosetta Stone and the ability to self learn through exposure i.e watching video's listening to radio on internet etc with continued speaking practice via skype.

I would like to learn the italian language as i have visited the country on numerous occasions, Iam at present looking for a home in italy with a view to eventually moving permenantly. At the moment i speak a little of the language but have a lot of difficulty with its grammer.Iam willing to do as much time as needed,the difficulty being my time is very restricted due to work commitments,l eaving me only evenings (from 5pm onwards) but these can be monday -sunday excluding saturdays.

I have completed three terms of Italian at a school in Leichhardt but was not progressing as well as I would have liked. I am interested in developing confidence in conversation skills (my parents and grandmother are first gen. Italians and I would like to be able to speak with them in Italian). I would say my skills are somewhere between beginner and intermediate.
I have two young children so would like to have private lessons that work around their schedules. It would be great to have someone come to my house to reduce the need to allocate time for travel to and from the lessons. I would also prefer a teacher that is a native speaker and one who has some form of teaching background.
