I am a complete novice in Spanish and Italian however I have recently bought a couple of dictionaries to give myself a small headstart. Having recently returned from Sicily I feel I am extremely ignorant only being able to speak my own language (English). I was speaking with an Italian man and he recommended learning Spanish before I learn Italian as he thought this would be an easier route, I also feel that Spanish is more widely spoken therefore I would be able to make use of this language more often. I have ambitions of travelling to many places one of which is South America where I feel Spanish will come in very handy and with the ability to be multi-lingual my experiences should be far greater. Therefore I think I will initially be wanting to learn Spanish and then Italian which I think is a beautiful language. Hopefully in the future with the ability to speak several languages I may have the chance to live and work abroad. I would probably be able to dedicate time for one lesson per week possibly in the evenings as I work full time 9am-5pm (Monday-Frida y). I am looking for an informal and fun way of learning not within a college atmosphere but more of a one to one friendly situation. In the future I may utilise my travelling as a way to improve my skills. My partner is also interested in learning Spanish and then maybe Italian so a joint lesson may be the best way and then we would be able to practice with each other out of hours.

Not totally a beginner, had some exposure to businesses in Italy, travelling there on a reasonably regualr basis. Now have a long term contract (as a consultant) with an Italian company based in Milan. Part of my role (Marketing Manager) is being in contact with other Italian companies, usually suppliers. Although (as you will know) English is widely spoken, I am at a real dis-advantage when in discussions with them, particularly when they converse with each other in Italian.
Need conversation, rather than written, but I do need some understanding of written Italian
I can dedicate either part time, of full time to this course, but would prefer part time on a regular basis.
