I am a professional and I want to learn hindi for a number of reasons:
1 . to speak with my partner's family
2. to reconnect with my indian roots
3. so that I can understand hindi music
I am a complete beginner. I understand gujerati and bengali. As I have a busy work life I would be able to dedicate one morning or an evening a week to lessons in a face to face teaching environment.
I'm looking for a teacher who is close in proximity, who would be patient enough with me learning grammar from scratch (I think this is the reason I never learnt to speak my native languages). I think my strength will be my pronunciation when I've actually learned the language. I've been told that I have a good ear!
