I am just beginning to learn Italian. I'm learning because my girlfriend is Italian, and I need to learn to be able to speak to her family.
I can dedicate 3-5 days a week to learning, depending on how cost prohibitive that is.

My native language is Spanish, but I have been speaking English about 15 years now. I have been backpacking in Europe and other parts of the world but I would like to return to Italy. Im mostly interested in being able to hold conversations in Italian. I would be able to get together a couple times a week and would prefer that Italian be my instructors native language but its not mandatory. My goal is to speak it like Italians ,not with an American accent. Thank you for your time.

I have been trying to learn Italian through the Rosetta Stone and altho I am on Level 3, I am not comfortable actually speaking and forming my own sentences. I want to learn Italian because I want to go back there and feel more a part of the country. I don't want to feel like just another tourist.
