I am interested in learning sign language. There is a shortage of sign language interpretors in El Paso, Texas and this is something I have always been interested in learning. I am 11yrs old. I want to become a deaf interpreter. I am a beginner right now. I need improvement in all areas. I would like to contribute 2hrs twice a week on weekends.
I prefer a male who is firm yet understanding ; someone who has experience teaching people in my age group; someone who makes learning fun and interesting; someone who can teache me life skills beyond signning that will make me more successful in the craft, and someone who will be able to help me find work and/or interns to help me out.

For many years I have admired the are of signing. I would be starting at the beginner stage, the majority of what I know consists of the alphabet. I am a stay at home mom with three children, so I have been out of the work force for seven years, now that my youngest is going into kindergarten, I want to learn and eventually have a career in signing. I was looking into courses offered by schools, with my schedule and my husbands, it would be dificult to manage the times of the classes. The time I would be willing to put into the lessons would probably depend upon the teachers availability. I am a very easy going and quiet person and can get along with anyone. So if you have the patience(lots of) and a sense of humor, we should get along just fine.
