I am a beginner. I want to study abroad in two years and I want to go to Italy. It's probably best I learn the language too. Plus it'll be good for my future. I love learning! I live in San Francisco but will be in Stockholm from December through February. I've been learning Italian for about 2 years and would like to stay sharp while I'm in Stockholm. My proficiency is between a beginner and intermediate. I'd like to do one session per week, about 1 hour long. In particular, I need to work on vocabulary and comfort in conversation (most of my learning has been from grammar books).

Very beginner -- I know a few phrases that I can recall from one course at Italingua. I plan to go to Italy in the spring of 2005 and am Italian. I've always wanted to learn my native language.
I would like to get some tutoring on the weekends so I can practice during the week on my own. Languages don't come easily to me as I am very visual but I think, with good tutoring, I can start to get a good command of the conversationa l elements.
I need a teacher who is fun and really enjoys the beauty of the language. Also a teacher who will focus on practical application.
