I recently took a trip to Tanzania and am planning on returning as I rather much fell in love with the country. I studied a portion of the Pimsleur language course in Swahili prior to my departure, but I believe I would learn better if I had someone who was teaching, correcting, and engaging me in the language. The Tanzanians with whom I spoke Swahili were very gracious; I would enjoy being able to understand and converse more on my next trip.

Hi,
My name is Lynn and I am very intersted in learning to speak swahili. My boyfriend is from Kenya and that is his native language. His mother is coming to visit in february and I would love to surprise him with being able to speak in their language. It would mean so much to them both.
My main focus is to be able to carry a general conversation to be social. I'm sure once I learn the basics then he'll be able to help me along the way. I have a busy schedule but I am willing to dedicate 2 or 3 evenings/nigh ts per week. I am looking for someone that won't get easily frustrated with me while learning and someone who really understands how important it is to me to learn to speak the language.
