I want to continue learning Kiswahili because I just spent four semesters abroad in Kenya and want to become even better. I would consider myself intermediate in my proficiency. Grammar, conversation, vocab. This summer I would like to spend 2-3 hours a week. I would like a teacher that is experienced, has energy and is motivating.

I would like to learn Swahili because I want to widen my intellectual horizon and learn an African language. I'm a beginner and know no Swahili whatsoever. I would like to be tutored in Swahili once or twice a week and I can spend many hours doing homework in between the lessons. I am looking for a teacher who is good at translating English into Swahili. I am also looking for a teacher who is able to writein Swahili and speak English well.

I don't know the level of my swahili as I have never been tested, although I would probably describe it as approaching intermediate, which I would like to continue to develop, both for career and travel reasons. I was recently based in Kenya for nearly two and a half years, so I have mainly developed a Kenyan style of swahili.
I would like to attend regular lessons, perhaps up to 2 per week, as I want to progress quickly.
As to whether I want individual or group lessons, depends upon the costs involved with each option.
