1. I am studying Czech for personal interest. My mother's family was Czech and I have always been interested in learning the language and visiting the Czech Republic.
2. Beginner. I began studying last August. My lessons are from Czech step by step both text and workbook. I have also been listening to Level 1 Pimsleur Czech.
3. As a beginner, I need work in all areas. I have begun constructing complex sentences on an impromptu basis.
4. Weekly - 1 hour per week plus homework.
5. I am looking for a consistent, structured approach. I would like to continue using the texts I have.
6. My background is as a language major so I pick up languages quickly, but need oral/aural practice.

I am a beginning Arabic teacher currently formulating a new curriculum for a private NC High School while simultaneousl y looking to improve my own skills in grammar and conversation. I incorporate a large culture/histo ry element in my classes and have traveled extensively throughout North Africa and the Middle East. I am passionate about cultural awareness and the history of this are of the world.
I would qualify myself as an intermediate level MSA speaker with some exposure to the Derija and Egyptian dialects. I am interested in approx. one skype or in person lesson per week and possibly more in the summer time. I am also seeking a teacher to administer an oral proficiency test for one Arabic Honors student in the middle of April.
