As far as Arabic, I'm Syrian (born in US), Arabic was my 1st language taught from my family in slang firm, not formal. I still understand about 90-95%, but to speak, I've dropped to 60% or so (intermediate )...I want to learn for personal reasons. In chinese I am a complete beginner, I know that nihao means hello, and thats it! I am going to be competing for a position in China at work.
