Program Description

All lessons are developed with "common-sense " in mind. The sequence is logical. So much so that results are often evident within the first two lessons.
I make myself available to the participant via e-mail (to practice writing) or through programs such as Skype or Zoom.
Custom ization is one of the most beneficial aspects of my teaching. We go at a pace with which the student feels comfortable and focus on what interests him/her.

I have taught Spanish for over 25 years. One-on-one and groups. In person and over the internet.
I have vast experience with all levels and types of learners: beginners, fluent speakers, college level, private individuals and corporate students.

I have taken several training courses on teaching practices and methodologies .
I am also a translator, interpreter and do voice-overs (in Spanish) for radio commercials, presentations , narratives, etc.

Q. How do I make the payments?
A. If we have the sessions 'in person', payment is done at the end of the session. Cash or personal cheque. If you are a student outside Canada (instruction over the internet), payment is done in advance via PayPal or wire transfer.
Yo u may purchase a package of 5 or 10 sessions but it must be used up within one year after receiving the payment.
Q . I find your prices a little too steep. Is there a reason for it?
A. The fees are actually, slightly below the norm. The fact that you pay only for those sessions you have, makes it very cost-effectiv e. You do not pay for a 'package' that you may not use completely.
All materials are included as well (except for a dictionary!).
Most importantly, you are being taught not just by someone who speaks Spanish but by a experienced instructor.
Q. How long are the sessions?
A. 'In-person' sessions are two hours long.
Over-t he-internet sessions are one hour long.
Q. How long is the course?
A. I have 25 fully developed lessons which will take a beginner through to a level of fluency. Depending how much effort you put into it and how often pour sessions are, the complete course may take from 8 months to one year.
Q. How do I know the course content will benefit me?
A. I will customize the course for your needs. If you want to learn because you are traveling, I will gear the vocabulary towards traveler's needs. If you are part of a company wishing to do business, vocabulary and scenarios will reflect those goals.
Q. How about scheduling?
A. Scheduling is flexible. Just because you have a session, say, on Monday evening, doesn't mean that every subsequent session must be on Monday evening. At the end of a session, we agree on the next one.

Cost of Lessons

CND$35.00 per hour (students in Canada) or USA$35.00 (students outside Canada).
Fee does not include HST (Canadian students only) BUT includes all materials, notes and home exercises.
