As a college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, I use my understanding of the fundamental similarities and differences across languages to put myself in my students' shoes, in order to allow them to fully comprehend the ways English and Spanish function differently or similarly to their own native language. My approach to teaching English focuses on real communication , confidence building, and structured progression. I believe that students learn a language best when they are actively using it, not just memorizing it. From the first lesson, I encourage students to speak, make mistakes, and improve through guided correction and repetition.
I structure my lessons to develop all four core skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while placing special emphasis on speaking and pronunciation .
