I teach Latin, Ancient Greek, Spanish, and English. My approach to teaching all languages is essentially the same, a dual focus on grammar and conversation. The awful truth is that most students who study a language never end up learning it because of poor curriculum and/or teaching. Most ancient language curriculum (Latin, Ancient Greek, etc.) neglects conversation, while most modern language curriculum (Spanish, English, French, etc.) fails to teach the student the basic structure and logic of the language. If a student wishes to gain advanced competence (and enjoy the journey!), then both aspects must be included.

M y name is Niovi and I am a Greek language and literature tutor.
As a lifelong learner myself I have attended various cultural programs and online courses, mostly related to alternative ways of learning, such as integrating different works of art into lessons with inquiry-based teaching methods, as well as the use of new technologies in education, into both traditional and online learning environments. ..And this is also my approach when it comes to teaching my native language!
