Re:veg recipes ?
Salut Pascal !

Re:Real english or american breakfast or brunch please ;)
I see you posted about a year ago. But I wanted to say that a traditional American brunch consists of Juices, or sometimes champagne and orange juice mixed. Pastries; fresh fruit like strawberries, cantalope, grapes. Omlettes or a breakfast casserole with scrambled eggs, sausage and cheese. Bacon is a favorite. Potatoes fried with onions are a yummy addition. Brunches don't usually have biscuits and gravy unless you are in the south. California brunches always have champagne.

Re:Real english or american breakfast or brunch please ;)
Hi :) A really good (the best) southern (real) American brunch/breakfast is sausage gravy and biscuits. An american biscuit is fluffy and almost like a muffin, except made out of white flour. Here are the recipes:

Biscuits: (makes 12)

500 g all purpose flour
30 g baking powder
10 g salt
20 g white sugar
135 g COLD butter, lard, or shortening. I actually like to do a mix.
475 mL milk

Oven: 220 C.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse meal.

Gradually stir in milk until dough pulls away from the side of the bowl.

Turn out onto a floured surface, and knead 15 to 20 times. Do not mix more than you absolutely have to, or they will become tough and not fluffy.

Pat or roll dough out to 1 inch thick. Cut biscuits with a large cutter or juice glass dipped in flour.

Repeat until all dough is used. Brush off the excess flour, and place biscuits onto an ungreased baking sheet. Put them next to each-other but not quite touching. The steam will help them rise.

Bake for 13 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges begin to brown.
******************************************************************

While your biscuits are baking, make your sausage gravy.

1 lb breakfast sausage, generally a medium flavor (not too mild and not too spicy)
1/3 cup all purpose flour
3 cups milk
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt, depending on what spices you like
2 tsp. ground pepper

Fully cook small chunks of the sausage until fully done. Bring your stove down to a medium low heat and sprinkle half of your flour down onto the meat. WAIT for it to "absorb" the flour. Slowly add the rest of the flour, stirring the whole time. Then slowly start adding the milk. Use more if you have to.

Then continue cooking the gravy for 10 more minutes, and let it thicken.

Open up your fresh warm biscuits and slather them in tons of sausage gravy. Enjoy!

This is my favorite set of recipes. They make 6 large servings or 12 normal servings. Dig in!
