Re:Re:How to say in Pashto "shut up or keep quite" just in one word
[altarasha] would translate to "come there" there is a place you previously have known about.
"keep quiet" phonetically would be [chupe sha].

Re:How to say in Pashto "shut up or keep quite" just in one word
I had a student tell me that a phrase similar to this is (phonetically) "altarasha". Can anybody confirm or give the rough translation? It would be much appreciated.

How to say in Pashto "shut up or keep quite" just in one word
کینه (kena) = shut up or keep quite
(Also this word means (sit))

A very easy slang in Pashto which is so common in Pashto which usually people says this in broil or you can say this while you are so angry and commanding people to just shut their mouth. eg.
While people are sick of someone's talking and they feel unhappy or angry they can say like this : ته) کینه ډیری خبری مه کوه) . (ta kena dere khabre makawa) Shut up! don't talk much.
Or,
People says this while they fight with another party and he is sick of that party's dirty and bad words and he replies this :
کینه چی کینی سوک درکوم (kena che kene sook darkum) Shut up or else i will punch you! .
