I lived in Nepal for 9 months and became conversationa lly proficient while there. I became close friends with my host family, all of whom only speak Nepali. Now back in the US, I want to continue regular contact with my host family, both via phone conversations and written letters.
In my lessons, I want to continue speaking Nepali regularly, as well as learn new vocabulary to describe my day-to-day activities, and learn new grammatical structures. I'd also like to continue learning to write Nepali (spelling especially).

My parents are Gujurati and actually that was my first language. I am born and raised in Texas, USA, and when I started school, my parents pushed me to learn English and somehow I forgot my Gujurati. I am still able to understand most Gujurati easily, but have difficulty speaking myself. Most often I know the words to say, but can't manage to conjugate verbs and nouns appropriately to make a proper sentence.
I am now nearing engagement to my boyfriend, who is also Gujurati, and I want to be able to converse easily with his extended family and grandparents, who live here in the US.
I am currently a medical resident, so my time is limited, and my schedule will have to be flexible somewhat.

I am interested in learning Irish as a cultural development, to keep the language alive, and because it is a part of my ancestral heritage.
My proficiency level is early beginner. I know a few words and phrases and struggle with the written.
I need improvement in all areas.
I think one class per week would be beneficial over an indeterminate period of time.
I would like to set up a satellite class at the local library for other interested students to attend and learn the language. I would like a standard classroom outline with lots of practice between the individuals.

I will be moving to Atyrau, Kazakhstan for my husband's job in early June, and I would like to learn as much as I can of the Kazakh language between now and then. I'm hoping to find someone who is willing to come to my home to provide private lessons 2-3 times a week if possible. I have visited Atyrau once and was able to learn a few basic phrases.
