From the moment I heard the Dutch language for the first time, I have been in love with it. I have been teaching myself, with some assistance from Dutch friends here and there, for approximately the last year and a half. I read things in Dutch on the internet, I watch Dutch television, listen to Dutch radio. I attempt to submerse myself in the language as much as I can while living in the US. I would love to someday live in the Netherlands, and therefore, I think it is key that I speak the language. Then again, if it weren't for the language, I would have never had such a strong desire to learn more about the country, and I would have never found out how much I love it! I would love to be able to take the NT2 exam and officially be fluent in speaking Dutch.

I am going to Lithuania and Russia next summer to visit relatives and I plan to major in Russian/Slavi c languages. I am a beginner in both languages, took one year of classes in Lithuanian. I am open to any schedule and time, I am very passionate about becoming proficient. I would prefer teachers in which their native language is either Russian or Lithuanian or both. I am a freshman at college, but I plan to be fluent in Russian by the time I graduate. Thank you.

I decided that I want to learn arabic because I think it would be cool to know another language that we don't learn in school, and arabic seems like a very interesting language. I have zero experience with the language and would like to just get a basic knowledge of the language maybe somewhere around once a week or so for an hour or two.

I want to learn Biblical Hebrew to complete the requirements of a doctoral program at Seminary. I am an abject beginner, knowing only the aleph-beth and that not well. I need to commit some hours per day to acquire the knowledge I require, although weekly sessions with an instructor would work out well for me. I need someone to hold my feet to the fire. The teacher must be patient and willing and able to teach. That's all I ask for.
