I recently visited Thailand and now am determined to learn the language. I am definately a beginner so I need improvement in all areas but I am willing to put in the practice. i am a complete beginner with an uncanny gift for languages if given certain keys.
i have a friend who is pakistani and i would like to learn urdu so i can communicate with her family and with her even though she speaks perfect queen's english.
i need conversationa l, day to day, functional, and perhaps even some poetic urdu and am as dedicated as can be given my insane schedule.
i think initially one hour lesson per week with perhaps a mid-week online/teleph one half hour follow-up would be the most i could fit into my schedule.
i need someone who can give me basic keys with which to begin to string words into phrases. i am an uncanny student of phonetics and can mimic very very well. i need audio and some DVD assistance as well.
