My proficiency level is beginner to somewhat intermediate. My parents are Serbian and I am born here in North America. I can understand about 95% of Serbian and speak about 50% fluently. I would like to improve the oral component as I have most of my family in Serbia. I believe conversation is my first need for improvement. Afterwards, grammar and the ability to read both latinica and cyrillica would be preferred. I can dedicate about 3-5 hours per week. The qualities I am looking in a teacher is that they identify my level and pace to learn the language in addition to knowing my weaknesses and focusing on those to improve.

oi,
i only know a few individual words.
the reason i would like to learn portuguese... ..i visited brasil last year.....and realized how limited i was in engaging the wonderful brazilian people.....so me day i would like to move to brasil. at this point i am mainly interested in conversationa l portuguese.
in the begining i am not sure about how much time to spend learning..... maybe you could help me determine that.
i think the most difficult part will be pronunciation .
qualities of tutor ?....i am not sure....maybe just overall a good teacher
do you have books and other materials to study with ?
