I run a real estate consulting firm that is doing an increasing amount of business in Brazil and I have been trying to learn Portuguese over the past month or so. I have been using the Pimsleur language programs as I drive back and forth to work and Rosetta stone software at night. I feel like I am getting the hang of the language structure, grammar, vocabulary, etc., but I need someone to help me with pronunciation and general conversation. I will be going to Brazil in early November, so it would be great if I could make some improvement by then. I work on North Michigan Avenue and live up in Evanston. I am generally very busy during the day, so the best time for me would be late in the afternoon or early evenings during the week. Hopefully we can work something out.

I want to learn the Arabic language for a couple reasons. I want to learn it to be better prepared for a job and also because i would just like to know the language. I would consider myself a beginner, i only know a couple words and thats it. I would most likely dedicate about one to two days per week depending on the instructor. The qualities i would be looking for in my lessons are efficiency and effectiveness , as long as i am getting better after every lesson than thats good.
