I am emailing you to see if there is ANY way I might get into your Serbo-Croatia n Intensive class.
My husband is taking me to Serbia as of August 1st!!!!! I've never been out of the country, this is my first trip!
I also have yet to meet the parents so all the Serbian I can learn before that time would be great!
Marko (my husband) has taught me about 150 words so i'm eager and ready to learn more:)

I am working to obtain a minor in Japanese language at DePaul University. I am about to enter my fourth year of Japanese and should be at an advanced level but have found it more difficult as I move forward. I took Japanese for fun, but decided to continue with it. I need improvement on grammar, conversation, and also am looking for better techniques in studying kanji and translating text. I take class for 3 hours a week, and would probably need an additional 1-2 hours of tutoring. Qualities I am looking for in a Japanese tutor is someone who can really help me to understand rules of grammar, conversation, etc. and give me better tips on studying.

I want to learn Japanese for two reasons, I fell in love with Japan on a vacation and would love to try living there also I am 42 and not knowing a second language has always gnawed at me. First and foremost its my desire to make a go in Japan but I want to be able to communicate with the people. I am serious about learning and I know it costs you to answer, I'm not sure you teach beginners from start..I know nothing just so you know. If I am still a candidate for your teaching I have plenty of time, semi retired for now and I would like to achieve this goal within a years time if possible but I will focus 100% on what needs to be done.

I work in the medical field and I am interested in learning Spanish. My goal is to become fluent. I would like to learn as much as possible in 6 month to 12 month period. I would like to be speaking Spanish in about 6 months.
I am looking for a tutor for at least the next 12 months. When I study, I do need structure or some type of lesson plan to follow. I am looking for a instructor who provides this type of structure when teaching. I would like to spend approximately 4 hours a week with a private instructor (2 hour lessons preferably).

I do not know any Mandarin or Japanese at this time. I would like to learn Mandarin or Japanese so that I may teach English as a second language overseas. My goal is to live and work in an Asian country.
I also have two friends of mine, both from Hong Kong, who need to learn English. They are native Cantonese speaking, and any information you could give to help them learn English would be appreciated. I am trying to find them a tutor also.
