I am taking Arabic 101 in college right now and want to do well in the class. My ultimate goal is to become fluent in the language and need all the help I can get. I am learning the language to help me get in the career I want to be in. I need help in all areas espically in conversation and grammar. I am hoping that I could meet with a tutor one or two times a week. I live in North county but would be willing to drive anywhere in San Diego to meet for lessons. My roomate would also be joining me for the lessons. She is also taking arabic.

Hi,
I am eager to learn spoken Gujarati. I grew up with English as my first language but my parents often spoke Gujarati in the house. I can understand certain words and phrases but I am unable to speak the language with any confidence or fluidity. My goal is simply to improve my spoken Gujarati to the point where I can have general conversations . I would characterize my current level as beginner.
I live and work in San Francisco and would be available to meet anytime on weekends for 2-3 hour classes. I can possibly meet on weekdays in the evenings too - but this would be infrequent.

My wife and I plan to adopt two Ethiopian children within 9-12 months (early 2007). We would like to learn Amharic to enrich our bond with the children and their original culture. We have both learned other foreign languages (spanish, french, german).
W e would prefer to join a small group class but could pay for private lessons if necessary. Weekly or bi-weekly classes preferred.
We are seeking a class or teacher in the Berkeley-Oakl and-San Francisco area.

At my old school i took latin as a foreign language for three years. However, i left that school and now attend another school where latin is not offered. I wanted to take the SAT II Latin and thought if i got a tutor it could help me. Mind you, this class will not be for just me. It will be with three other students including my brother, my friend and my friend's brother. Us four are quite experienced in latin and we do know basic grammar and vocabulary. We just wanted to sharpen our skills in latin and prepare for this big test. We would probably allocate two to three hours per week to take this latin class.
