I am interested in learning how to speak and read Chinese because we often travel there for pleasure. I have tried to teach myself with audio tapes and books, but I think I need help with the tones, pronunciation , etc. I live 1 1/2 hours from Denver, but am willing to make the trip once a week during the summer and fall. Some classes could be via computer or phone if appropriate. I have a proclivity for learning languages, so Chinese sounds fun to learn!

I was raised in an Italian family, but I'm not fluent in italian. I can understand the language fairly well, but do no speak fluently. This comes as a result of my parents speaking to me in Italian, with me responding in English.
M y goal is to be able to converse more easily in the language.
My fiancee, also wants to learn Italian. We are planning on travelling to italy for our honeymoon in January and would like to take some private lessons before the trip.

Hello, My name is Denisse, and go to St. John University.(Q ueens campus) I have an honest passion for learning Languages, I have fluency in Spanish, English, and French.
I know very little Bosnian, I can greet and present myself and few simple phrases. To be quite honest, my interest in Bosnian/Bosni a start with my boyfriend but it evolved into a something I truly want to pursue.
I would like to be able to have a decent fluency in it, i would love to hold a conversation and be able to read it and listen to it and let it become a part of me.
I look for a professor that is willing to help me with this. I am more than willing to dedicate my time to this and I know that this something that will have a huge part of my drive. I want to able to make myself and my professor proud, i would be able to start as soon as possible. And if possible my professor could teach me about Bosnian culture as well.
