I spent 12 months in China teaching English in Songjiang where I acquired basic conversationa l skills in Mandarin. I want to refresh these skills and learn more. I would like to do about two hours a week and it would be great if my teacher could have lesson plans, at least in the beginning, without expecting me to know what I want to learn!

I'm a total beginner.
I' m looking to speak Chinese for a number of different reasons. First, I'm going to have Olympic business in China over the next four years and I want to be able to have some communication skills when I'm over there.
Secon dly, I plan on spending a number of upcoming vacations in the Far East.
Lastly , I spent my formative years living in Vancouver and I have quite a few friends who speak Chinese and would like to be apart of future conversations .
