I am half Persian and have grown up hearing the language all of my life. My mother is American, but she lived in Iran with my father for a while and she speaks Farsi fluently. I would describe my proficiency level as being 'baby talk'
I know words, but I don't form sentences correctly and my accent is not good. I want to travel to Tehran next year to visit my family and it would make my grandmother very happy if I can speak Farsi better. I am a stay at home mom, so I can devote many hours a day to studying. I hope to learn from a native Iranian speaker since the Farsi spoke in other areas sounds so much different.

Beginning Japanese. I am learning because I run a business dealing with Japanese motors, and parts, I would like to be able to communicate if I choose to travel abroad. I can dedicate any amount of time needed. I'm a beginner... i know how to somewhat understand Tagalog (illocano) but i don't know how to fluently speak it nor write. The reason i am learning is to keep my heritage alive. I need improvement in all areas! I'm so dedicated to even go to the Philippines for a month or so to learn the native language. The qualities i am looking for is someone who is as dedicated to teaching me as i am to understanding the language.
