W hy am I learning such a language? Out of deep interest.
The areas I feel I need improvement on: grammar, conversation, writing, and if possible, culture.
H ow much time would I dedicate? As much as I can. (minimum: 2-3 hours every lesson)
Wh at qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher? A teacher who isn't so rigid, a flexible teacher. A teacher who is more hands-on (but not so overwhelmingl y hands-on) rather than by the book. A teacher who can arouse cognitive thinking. A teacher who loves his or her job, a teacher with interest in his or her teaching. A teacher who has cultural knowledge of the language he or she teaches.
P referably, a teacher who loves manga.

My proficiency level is beginner. I have never took Japanese language classes before. I wish to learn because I would like to take a vacation in Japan, maybe even live there one day. Of course it would not hurt me in my choosen career path to know Japanese. Since I have never even begun to learn the language I am sure that I will need help in all areas. Though considering my grades up 'til now in English I am sure I will need extra attention in the spelling aspect of the language. I am willing to dedicate as much time as I need to learn it well enough to function in Japanese society properly. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher are patience, exciting and affordable.
