I am currently looking for a school or private teacher providing dutch for beginners. I am learning the language to better communicate with my future in-laws and to be clearly understood in my wedding. I do have some knowledge of the language since I have been to the Netherlands severval times and overhearing with my fiancee with his family and friends. I would like to invest at least 3 hours per week in this language program excluding home studies. I am looking for a teacher that do not necessarily teach by the book, not too stern but mostly importantly enjoys sharing his/her knowledge not only about the language but also its people and customs. I see language as almost a living entity since it has history always seems to evolves.
I would like to learn in a group invironment but since I know the language is not 'popular' a one on one situation is fine as well. Thank you for your time and cooperation.

I am part of a consulting firm that helps companies take their products into China. I have traveled to China several times this year and expect to have many more trips. I have used books, CDs, and help from my Chinese colleagues to pick up a few phrases but can use very little Mandarin. I want to be able to converse in Mandarin, with an emphasis on business interactions. I'm not sure how much time I can devote, given my travel schedule but this is a priority for me. Being immersed in the culture during my trips will help me apply the learnings.

Si nce I am semi retired, I can devote more time to to the study of the language.
