Very beginner -- I know a few phrases that I can recall from one course at Italingua. I plan to go to Italy in the spring of 2005 and am Italian. I've always wanted to learn my native language.
I would like to get some tutoring on the weekends so I can practice during the week on my own. Languages don't come easily to me as I am very visual but I think, with good tutoring, I can start to get a good command of the conversationa l elements.
I need a teacher who is fun and really enjoys the beauty of the language. Also a teacher who will focus on practical application.

I have took Romanian for 4 semesters at Arizona State University, and I was in Romania for 6 weeks this last summer. I am interested in continuing Romanian study because there is not a program at UNLV. I am a poet in the MFA program, and I translate Spanish-to-En glish. I would like to eventually reach a level of fluency in Romanian as well. Conversation and vocabulary are my weak points. I am willing to dedicate up to 10 hours a week to Romanian study. Flexibility is a plus.
