I am a beginner in the language when it comes reading, writing and speaking, however I can understand Arabic at an intermediate level. I want to learn how to speak, read and write it. I want to learn Arabic for both career advancement and personal enhancement. I am willing to dedicate a few hours a week and would like a very patient teacher who has a good understanding that not everybody learns the same way. I hope to become fluent in the language rather quickly. I have the opportunity to use the language outside of the lessons so my learning curve should be pretty high.

I know so little of the language and I want to learn more. I understand a lot of it but I speak so little. I consider myself a beginner. I'm learning the language so I can communicate more with my parents and relatives. The areas that need improvement is conversation, grammer, and more understanding the language. If the hour is between $30-$35 then I will dedicate my time at least 2 hours a week because I don't have that much money and my mom is the one parent who works because my dad is sick. The qualities that I'm looking for in the lessons is that it will help me more and make me feel I can do this. For the teacher, I hope he or she can make me feel comfortable amd welcome.

I know perhaps two words in Vietnamese.
I am interested in learning for business and personal reasons. I have been in country and expect to return within the year, and would like to be able to get around a bit better this time.
I am particularly interested in being able to communicate appropriately in terms of address as well as comprehension with emphasis on business negotiations and conversation with women.
I also need to be able to read and write e-mails in vietnamese.
I would like to start with about three hours a week, preferably at lunch time or in the afterwork range.
I have had French, Spanish, Latin, and Arabic, but would not consider myself anywhere near fluent in any of them, and I have traveled overseas and am familiar with operating in environments where I am communication s challenged.
With regards to a teacher, someone with a good fluency in English will be better able to explain to me Vietnames langauge if they are familiar with English conjugations and grammer. I will use the books I have and am ordering to pick up as much of the grammar and vocabulary as I can.
A teacher with a professional background with some computer experience would be good as I will need to explain software and arrange network connections.
And last but not least, the teacher must have a good sense of nuances in discussion with women as I will need to discuss clothing, fabric, style, and associated issues.
I am hoping that we can use an immersion process which will be tough at first I know, but can be very effective.
Patience is going to be needed, as I have a very hard time with the tonal nuances which made Arabic and French difficult for me. I cannot carry a tune and have no musical ear or ability, but am determined to learn this language before I go back in country.
