I am seeking a Dutch language teacher in the Los Angeles area.
I currently have no Dutch language skills, but am planning to move to the Netherlands by the end of the year, so would like to gain some proficiency in the next couple of months.
Id eally, I would like to have lessons for a few hours a week, the weekends would suit me best, but evenings are also convenient (anytime after 6pm).
I would prefer a native speaker.
M y goal by the end of October is to be able to understand at least the basics (so it makes my move to the Netherlands easier).
I would appreciate a response at your earliest convenience as I am eager to begin learning.

I am a recent college graduate who will be studying at the University of Iceland next year. I have studied the Iceladic Sagas and Old Norse for a year and a half, and want to learn modern Icelandic. I have some knowledge of basic vocabulary and grammatical rules, but would pretty much need to start from scratch. I would like to grasp basic grammar/vocab ulary and begin to learn conversationa l Icelandic. I would like to meet once a week, possibly twice, from the begiing of June 2004 through the end of August, 2004. I am looking for a natice Icelandic speaker with a good understanding of how to teach a language to a beginner. I am hoping that s/he will recommend some good Icelandic text books for me to purchse.

I will be attending graduate school to study International Public Administratio n and would like to advance my language skills. I have studied Arabic grammer and vocabulary casually in the past and would like to study seriously for 1-2 hours a week. Hi, This is for my 15yr old son who has done his 2 years high school Spanish and wishes to take one more year of Spanish during this summer to finish the 3rd year course that some universities ask for. He wishes to finish this course during the summer so that he can take other subjects during the academic year.He will be able to give further information during the day, after he gets back from his school.
I am looking for a fine teacher who has good command over the language and who conducts classes in Fremont with probably several students in class.
