I want to learn a new language and culture. I am on disability and lonely so want. To try something new. I would probably spend about a half hour a day on it if I have a straight forward way to practice. I need a patient teacher. Sometimes I have concentration and memory problems. At the beginning of next year I am going to be returning to school for Linguistics. One of the languages that I plan on learning is Korean. Since this isnt a language offered everywhere I would like to get a head start while I complete my prerequisites . As far as my experience level,I guess I could be considered a midlevel beginner. I am self taught and havent been formally tested. I do work full time but I am confident I could put aside 4 hours a week for study. I am looking for a teacher that is patient but also amicable. I learn best when I am comfortable and have a good rapport with my instructor.
