yes, there are translations of Dante’s «La Divina Commedia» into modern Italian; for example, «La Divina Commedia in italiano d’oggi» by Nino Giordano and Fabrizio Maestrini, published by Libreria Editrice Fiorentina.

Hello Juliane,
How about the classic "le Petit Prince"? Or books for children in general. I can remember that it was not easy to read when I was first studying French... such an easy language... ha ha.
In school we quite enjoyed reading the adventures of Petit Nicolas, and there's also a movie now!
